📍 DAY 1, KOTA KINABALU TO KINABALU PARK HQ

Arrival and pickup from Kota Kinabalu airport or hotel lobby. Begin a scenic 2 hour journey to Kinabalu Park Headquarters, passing through local villages and the beautiful Crocker Range.

Along the way, stop at Nabalu Market where local vendors sell fresh produce, fruits, handicrafts, and souvenirs.

Upon arrival at Kinabalu Park HQ, check into your accommodation and enjoy free time to rest and prepare for the climb.

Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

🥾 DAY 2, TIMPOHON GATE TO PANALABAN BASE CAMP

Breakfast at Liwagu Restaurant in Kinabalu Park. Collect your packed lunch before heading to Park HQ for climb registration.

Meet your mountain guide, receive your ID tag, and transfer to Timpohon Gate, the starting point of the Mount Kinabalu trek.

Begin your ascent through changing vegetation zones including oak forest, mossy forest, and alpine landscapes. The trek to Panalaban Base Camp takes approximately 4 to 5 hours depending on pace.

Arrive at Panalaban Base Camp at approximately 3,272m above sea level and check into your mountain accommodation.

Enjoy buffet dinner at Laban Rata Restaurant before resting early for the summit climb.

⛰️ DAY 3, LOW’S PEAK SUMMIT, DESCENT & KOTA KINABALU HOTEL STAY

Wake up around 2:00 AM for an early supper before beginning the summit climb.

Continue the ascent towards Low’s Peak at 4,095m, the highest point in Malaysia. Reach the summit in time for sunrise, weather permitting, and enjoy panoramic views over Mount Kinabalu.

Descend back to Panalaban for breakfast and check out from the mountain hut.

Continue trekking down to Timpohon Gate where transport will be arranged back to Kinabalu Park Headquarters.

Upon completion of the climb, receive your Mount Kinabalu Climber Certificate.

Buffet lunch will be served at Liwagu Restaurant before transferring back to Kota Kinabalu City.

Check into your Kota Kinabalu city hotel for a well deserved rest.

12. Is there phone signal on the mountain?

Signal is limited or unavailable at higher elevations and base camp areas.
